One of our favorite little splurges in town is a lunch at Bend Burger Company. Located on 3rd street in Bend, and with a Sister company in Redmond (Redmond Burger Company), they are the quality answer for your good burger needs.
Handmade patties 100% NW beef, sauces that are perfectly savory, on a fresh bun is they way to go. Add bacon, cause they are not kidding around with the thick slices you get! The fries are hand cut, and you have options of regular or sweet potato tots! They also offer an array of substitutions from burger lettuce wrap, burger salad, burger bowls, or gluten free bun. My personal choice is usually a Broken Top Burger, and Eric has love for the Ponderosa Hamburger. As the sign on the door reads, this is not fast food; take 20 minutes, sit down, and enjoy the goodness.
Locally owned and supplied, there is the feeling of community in the place. Have a cider or a beer while you are here, meet your friends, grab one of the big tables, and laugh an evening away with good friends and great food! Or call ahead or order online, and pick it up at the drive through window; a great deal when returning from a day of outdoor play.
